A native of Solivar, she has been a bobbin maker for more than 51 years. Her relationship to this traditional technique began at the bobbin-making circle at the Solivar Secondary School, where she first sat down to the roller and the inherited „kneipple“ from her grandmother. In addition to the various jobs she had throughout her life, she also ran a bobbin making course for adults in PKO Prešov.
Although she now works in government, bobbin making remains her heart's hobby. After a busy day, she often sits down to create something that fulfills her while bringing joy to her loved ones. She gives away most of her products to family, friends and acquaintances.
She prefers classic designs that are true to tradition, as our grandmothers made them. Gradually, however, she began to try more modern designs that have an artistic dimension. At the request of a friend, she even created brooches that allow this beauty to be worn at social events and in everyday life.
Her work combines respect for tradition with creativity, bringing a beauty that can enliven both spaces and personal style.
